Welcome to our online LISTEN training programme about linguistic assertiveness. Through this training you will gain more insight into your own language attitudes and behaviours. You will also learn more about assertiveness and why RML speakers are often silent speakers, as well as being given tools and resources to become more language assertive. If you want to become a trainer yourself, you can find additional information about how to build a training session here.

In Lesson 1 you will learn about the concept and theory of linguistic assertiveness.

In Lesson 2 you will find out why RML speakers are often linguistically submissive.

In Lesson 3 you will gain more insight into your own language behaviour and you will receive the first resources to change any undesirable behaviour.

In Lesson 4 you will learn more about silent speakers and are offered additional resources.

Lesson 5 offers explanations and guidelines on how to develop your own language strategy.

Finally, in Lesson 6 you will receive tips about building your own training programme.

We hope you enjoy this training programme and that the new insights and resources offered will help you to become a more relaxed and confident speaker of your language.
